Secretary-General
Emma Milchunes
Emma Milchunes is originally from Pembroke, Massachusetts (Go Pats!) and a junior at the George Washington University majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy and minor in Arabic. She has been doing Model UN since her freshman year of college, and previously served GWCIA as a Crisis Director and Under-Secretary General of Crisis. It is rumored that she rarely has spare time- but on the rare occasion that she does, Emma enjoys drinking wayyy too much coffee, discovering a new taco restaurant, or acting as the Secretary-General of GWCIA XXIX!
Chief of Staff
Gowri Nair
Gowri is a junior studying International Affairs. She started participating in MUN in high school and is on GW's Model UN team. She previously served as the Director of Conference Relations for GWCIAXXVIII. Outside of that, she loves baking and cooking and she has a collection of Hunger Games memorabilia.
Director of Finance
Harry Liu
Harry is a sophmore studying political science and philosophy. He's been doing MUN since 7th grade, and hopes everyone at this conference can make the same kind of fond memories he has. He's now part of the GWMUN travel team, as well as the Chinese American Student Association. Outside of school he loves to going on walks while listening to music, playing chess and getting sad about clothes that look incredibly good (but also happen to be incredibly expensive).

Charlie Peters
Charlie is a Sophomore studying Geography and Political Science. He is from Southborough, Massachusetts. Along with his role as USG, Charlie serves as the Director of Communications for GWCIA's parent organization, the International Affairs Society, is a member of GW’s Model UN team, and also serves as the USG of IB for WAMUNC, GWU's high school conference! Charlie loves spending his time traveling, looking at maps, and rooting for Boston’s many sports teams. He is so excited to make GWCIA’s international bodies as great of an experience as possible!
Under Secretary-General of Historic and Specialized Committees
Camila Vargas
Camila is a sophomore studying international affairs and political science. Camila started MUN here at GW however she was a major Mock Trial and Moot Court nerd back in HS. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Camila also loves glitter and reading (She is currently trying to beat her 30 book in one year record). Camila is very excited to meet all the delegates at GWCIA 2024!!!

Davis A. Patel
Davis is a senior majoring in political science with a focus in public policy and is minoring in emergency health services. He previously served as the Director of Finance for GWCIA XXVIII and is currently the Director of Safety and Security for WAMUNC!
Director of Operations
Lauren Kral
Lauren is a sophomore studying Political Science and Peace Studies. She's a member of the GWMUN travel team and has been doing MUN since high school. Outside of Model UN, she is involved in greek life and enjoys exploring the DC area with her friends. She is originally from California and dearly misses her pets but she is so excited to meet everyone at CIA!!
Director of Conference Relations
Walker Szczecina
Walker is a sophomore studying Political Science and Data Science in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences. He’s excited to be on GWCIA’s secretariat and continue in his second year on GWMUN’s travel team. Having done Model UN since 6th grade, he’s evidently obsessed with politics and international affairs, but also enjoys listening to rock music and watching the NFL (Go Birds!).

Liana Moldovanu
Liana is a sophomore with a major in International Affairs. She is also hoping to add a second major in Pure Mathematics, and minors in both Spanish and Economics! She has done MUN on and off since high school, and have staffed conferences throughout both by junior and senior years of high school. Now, at GW, she is a member of the Model UN Travel Team, and involved in the Globe as well. Fun fact is she loves hiking, reading, and baking for fun!
Under Secretary-General of Crisis Committees
Scarlett Metts
Scarlett is junior studying International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy and International Environmental Studies, as well as a minor in Criminal Justice. She is a member of the GWMUN travel team, and especially enjoys chaotic, fast-paced crisis committees. Outside of the International Affairs Society, Scarlett is the Vice President for GW Birds and a member of many other organizations on campus. She can’t wait to hear all about your crazy crisis arcs in December!
